Ruida Zhu successfully defensed his doctoral dissertation<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0On the afternoon of December 5, 2019, Ruida Zhu, a doctoral student of our lab, completed the defense of his doctoral dissertation in room 305, State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, Beijing Normal University. The members of the defense committee are: Professor Xiaolin Zhou of Peking University (School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences), Researcher Xiaolan Fu of Institute of Psychology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Yan Xu of Beijing Normal University (College of Psychology), Professor Li Liu of Beijing Normal University (College of psychology), Professor Shaozheng Qin of Beijing Normal University (State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The title of Ruida Zhu’s paper is ” The Psychological and Cognitive Neural Mechanism of Guilt and Shame “. In the process of defense, he introduced his research work during his doctoral period in detail, mainly involving the relationship between guilt and interpersonal utility; the relationship between self punishment and forgiveness; the relationship between shame\u3001event awareness and anger; the neural response of guilt and shame in the process of time; the spatial neural mechanism of guilt and shame.<\/span>After that, the experts of the defense committee commented on the merits and demerits of the paper and asked questions in detail. Ruida Zhu listened to the experts’ suggestions modestly, and made reasonable and sufficient explanations to the experts\u2019questions one by one. After discussion and voting by the experts of the defense committee, Ruida Zhu was unanimously agreed to pass the defense of his doctoral dissertation, and recommended that he would to be awarded a doctoral degree and evaluated as excellent in the overall level of his dissertation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Finally, Zhu Ruida took a group photo with the defense experts\u3001his advisor Professor Liu Chao, and with the junior fellow apprentices \/junior sister apprentices. <\/span><\/p>\n
