It aims to make breakthroughs in AI safety and superalignment, explore safe and controllable solutions for AI systems, and establish effective oversight and risk management for advanced AI models and superintelligence. The laboratory will conduct pilot applications on frontier AI models, building a leading-edge safety and governance framework to support the responsible development of artificial general intelligence (AGI) and guide superintelligence toward harmonious coexistence with humanity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #333333;\">The laboratory is led by the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA), with collaborative support from Peking University and Beijing Normal University. It brings together an interdisciplinary research team spanning artificial intelligence, <strong>cognitive psychology, brain science<\/strong>, ethics and safety governance, and systems science.
